Hometown

Uncle Fai had a strong bond with his hometown of Shipai, Dongguan, where he grew up to be a responsible citizen. In addition to making an impact by himself on Dongguan’s development, Uncle Fai was committed to enhancing cultural and economic exchange between Hong Kong and Dongguan. A number of Hong Kong entrepreneurs have been influenced by Uncle Fai and have joined hands to support Dongguan’s development. Apart from education and medical support, the Foundation is also devoted to community services and urban development. Beneficiaries include people from all walks of life.

Community Services

Uncle Fai began supporting community services in Shipai with the first project to expand Shipai Library’s collection, and later funded the building of "Wong Kam Fai Community Center", which offers free integrated services such as home care assistance, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, and community education to the aged, disabled, youth and families.

Urban Development

In addition to infrastructure development, such as the construction of Dongjiang Avenue which received a donation of RMB5.6 million from the Foundation, building of cultural soft power is also a focus of the Foundation's work.

"WKF Residence", where Uncle Fai lived in after his retirement, welcomes guests and facilitates the exchange of ideas and culture. Many overseas Chinese have been drawn to support Donnguan's development.

Together with Shipai Government's effort, Yan Garden has been transformed into a travel, cultural and arts hub. The exhibition and event spaces provide a platform for young artists to showcase their talents, ideas and works, which in turn promote Shipai and Dongguan's cultural tourism.
